LG Soft India: LGwebOS Global IT Internship
28 August 2020

Students from Kyungpook National University, South Korea (KNU) and School of Engineering & Technology, CHRIST started their one-month LG webOS Global IT Internship on 27th July 2020 (Monday). Conceptual training and hands-on practice were part of this internship and it culminated on 28th August 2020. 28 students from KNU and 41 students from KNU were divided into 16 teams to compete in the LG webOS hackathon subsequently.

PRISM

Primal Research Ideas in Science and Technology (PRISM) contest is announced on 2nd March 2020 (Monday) with an objective to recognise and support promising research and ideas emerging from students and researchers. This contest urges the participants to think beyond the theoretical research and look forward to ideas that solve socially relevant problems through big data emerging from research in science and technology.

Service and Cultural Learning Programme is aimed to foster a global community anchored on collaborative efforts in the fields of education, cultural interactions and society. 18 students from Kyungpook National University, South Korea have successfully completed the International Service and Culture Learning Programme (SCLP) from 19 January 2020 to 01 February 2020 at Christa Vidyalaya, Bangalore.

WIZnet IoT iOffload Design Contest

IoT iOffload Contest was held from 01 May 2019 to 31 July 2019. It is an international project contest for developers worldwide, powered by WIZnet. This contest gives developers an opportunity to showcase their skills in IoT innovation and competency. Out of the 13 teams which won the contest, 7 are from CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

Indo-Korean Utsava

In association with Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru is held to organise a two day programme: VA, Indo-Korean Utsava on July 22 and 23, 2019. VA held to invite our Indian and Korean friends to come together and celebrate with a shout of acclamation.

The contest on Primal Research Ideas in Science and Management intends to provide a platform for students to showcase their practical innovations as per the specified themes.

It aims at providing the participants the opportunity to disseminate their work in public, to collaborate with researchers of similar interest and to explore potential funding.

LG WebOS Hackathon
17 July 2019


LG webOS Hackathon was held for the B.Tech and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering of CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

3 teams from CU reached the finals of the contest.

1 team was the first runner up and the other two teams won the outstanding innovator award.

National Workshop on Data Analysis
10 May 2019

Centre for Advanced Research & Training was organising a 3-day National Workshop on Data Analysis to equip the interested researchers, academicians and corporate in various data analysis tools with a deep theoretical and practical understanding about the concepts behind each tool that is being

used. The learning path begins with training in the basics of data analysis followed by solid training in analytics techniques using the software.

Centre for Advanced Research & Training held to organise a three day workshop from 25 to 27 October 2019.

It offers data analysis training on six different software tools in order to enable participants to understand the basic operations of software, to plot graphs/charts, to analyze data and to interpret the output obtained.

Indo-Korean Utsava

In association with Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru is held to organise a two day programme: VA, Indo-Korean Utsava on July 30 and 31, 2018. VA involves a one-day international seminar on “India-East Asia Relations: A South Korean Perspective” and a cultural program-cum-exhibition.
